About

Clutchr β€” your motorcycle budget co-pilot

Buying a motorcycle is a decision that commits you for years. The price you see at a dealership or in an ad is rarely the real cost. Insurance, maintenance, fuel, registration, gear β€” all of that builds up outside that number. Yet it's this complete picture that tells you whether a bike is truly the right one for you.

Clutchr was born from one simple belief: every rider β€” whether about to buy their first bike or looking to upgrade β€” deserves a clear, complete view of what their project will actually cost. Not to put them off, but to help them make the right choice, at the right time, with the right budget.

The tool is completely free. It was designed that way. Cost transparency shouldn't be a privilege reserved for those who've been riding for ten years. It should be accessible from the very first search.

How it works

You enter your profile (age, licence, usage), the bike you have in mind, and a few key parameters β€” annual mileage, postal code, financing. In seconds, Clutchr calculates all cost items: purchase, COβ‚‚ penalty, registration, insurance, maintenance, fuel, parking, technical inspection, gear.

The result is a complete, structured budget, with a recurring monthly cost and a total acquisition cost. This is what experienced riders build intuitively after years of practice β€” Clutchr makes it accessible from day one.

How we stay free

Clutchr is free for users and will stay that way. The tool is funded by affiliate partnerships: when you choose to request an insurance quote or a financing offer through a Clutchr link, we earn a commission from the partner. It doesn't change the price you pay β€” and it doesn't change the estimates shown, which are calculated independently of any partner.

Every affiliate link is clearly flagged on the site. No hidden advertising, no data reselling. This is the model we chose because it's the only one compatible with our goal: helping you optimise your budget, not selling you something.

Clutchr was created by Mathieu Bourgoin, motorcycle rider and independent founder based in Europe.
